Cracked banana cake

    Hi, I’m not much of a baker, but thought I would try to make one, I had a few bananas so I thought banana cake. Everything was going ok, but the top has split quite badly, Any ideas how I could make this better next time and keep the top of the cake from splitting?


    You may have had the oven temp too high. Sometimes a longer, slower bake is better. Passionfruit icing is lovely on banana cake, it can mask the cracks too!


    I think a banana cake can look rustic with some cracks! Otherwise a dust of icing sugar over the top or icing works a treat!
